Ariel and Jeremiah make such an amazing Khal and Khaleesi! I missed shooting them at Midoricon because I hadn’t read Game of Thrones yet… and have been kicking myself for it ever since. We fixed that at Kalahari.

This is a set of characters where you really need a lot of confidence, and the right height difference - and these two are right on the money! Just… very, very pleased to get these photos. It’s fun to work with costumes from my pet series! (Despite all the sneezing - Apparently I am allergic to Savannah grass!)

I live in an island, so yesterday we had a really bad mist (like silent hill style) around the city ‘cause of the ocean and things like that. So what happened to show up inside of the mist? US Social Security Administration Changes Policy on Changing Gender

Don Mattrick comments on the Xbox One

…today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Here is what that means

• An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement & you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want & play your games, like on Xbox 360.

• Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

• In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console — there will be no regional restrictions.

NASA Releases Panoramic View of Mars! Warning: Contains billions and billions of pixels 

A new interactive panorama of the Martian surface has just been released by NASA/JPL, and it’s just as cool as you’d expect. This massive view of the red planet is zoomable down to an incredible level of detail. Everything from the landing site to its eventual destination at Mt. Sharp is there in iron oxide-hued glory.

I’ve included a few of my favorite views above. First, an L-shaped sequence of frickin’ laser beam scars left over from the mast-mounted ChemCam (pew pew science!) Next, some notably shiny rocks, their silver surface made visible through the rusty dust. Finally, “J-P-L” written in morse code thanks to the code drilled into Curiosity’s wheels.
